Inversion tables are great! gets the job done!

An inversion table is a therapeutic equipment that assists its user to adjust from an upright position to a horizontal position and finally upside down for the purposes of inversion therapy. This therapy involves being upside down or at an angle in a process called inversion. The therapy makes the body experience a kind of reverse effect of the gravity.

The inversion table has an endless list of benefits. when the human body is suspended upside down gravitational pull decompresses joints and it is also a form of decompressing the spine, hanging upside down is almost the same as spine traction. when the body is suspended from the feet there might be a lot of strain on the ankles and feet that is where an inversion table comes in handy. The user can gradually adjust the angle of inclination to a point where it doesn't strain him/her

How long should a person stay on an inversion table?

Basically the secret is to listen to you body. when beginning you could stay inverted between 1 and 3 minutes two or three times a day. after getting used you could go between five and fifteen minutes once or twice a day. however anytime you fell uncomfortable resume normal position
The time you spend hanging is largely dependent on the angle. you can spend longer times at 20 to 30 degrees until you get comfortable to stay fully inverted.

Its therapeutic benefits are endless it can relieve back aches and if done periodically it can save a lot of stress and pain after aging since it will prevent back aches and the need for back surgeries thereafter
inversion therapy has also been said to relieve stress and improve a persons brain capacity this is because circulation is improved and oxygen flows to the head. it has been done in yoga and has also been used to mediate, so the inversion table comes in quite handy in case a person does not have the physical strength to do handstand.

There are other alternatives like gravity boots and inversion chairs that can be used for the therapy but inversion tables have so far been found to be the best since the alternatives like the gravity boots are found to be too aggressive. The inversion table allows more control.

The therapy is also used to detoxify and frequent therapy schedules can defy the aging process caused by gravity. it also helps to boost the immune system and relaxes the nervous system.
After long intense work outs or jobs with high impact, the joints experience stress. the inversion table helps stretch and elongate the muscles

The inversion table however does not come without some setbacks. it bears some health risks. it should not be used before consulting a doctor by pregnant women people with eyes diseases such as glaucoma and people with heart diseases and high blood pressure. this is because when you are in the inverted position for a while heartbeat will slow and your blood pressure will increase.
when beginning to use an inversion table it is advisable to first consult a doctor and have a person nearby just in case of anything.
